Launched in 1994, the 993-generation 911 ushered in sleeker bodywork, a six-speed manual transaxle, and a multi-link rear axle. For 1996, Porsche introduced a VarioRam variable-length intake system that increased power, and an all-wheel drive 4S model that utilized the Turbo’s bodywork minus the wing, but was powered by a 282 hp, naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six.
This 1996 Carrera 4S is finished in paint-to-sample Slate Grey Metallic, a color that reveals subtle variations based on differing light conditions, over a gray leather interior with black accents. Though well equipped with standard features, additional options on its window sticker include a rear window wiper and AM/FM radio with CD player and changer.
According to the CARFAX Vehicle History Report on file, the 4S had one previous owner prior to being purchased by Rudy Mancinas in 2016. This Carrera 4S has since been “Rudyfied” with Bilstein B6 shocks, lowering springs, aluminum gear shift and hand brake, gauge bezel rings, Porsche Classic radio, hardback sport seats, split rear grille, Turbo S ducts with integrated driving lights, as well as a smattering of detail touches such as Arena Red seat belts, brake calipers, and engine fan.
With under 60,000 miles indicated on its odometer at the time of cataloguing, this example is accompanied by a prodigious file of documentation and receipts illustrating lavish attention over the years. Sensitively modified and regularly exercised, this 993 Carrera 4S is ready to hit the road for its next enthusiast custodian.
