Porsche introduced a very special 40 Jahre Anniversary Edition 911 to celebrate the legendary flagship’s 40th anniversary. Limited to just 1,963 numbered copies, the 40 Jahre was heavily equipped with performance and aesthetic enhancements to create a truly exceptional 911.
Beginning with a narrow body chassis, the car was equipped with Porsche’s highly desirable X51 Powerkit, including improved cylinder heads, revised intake and exhaust manifolds, and uprated camshafts. The fortified flat-six engine was complemented by a six-speed manual transaxle, limited slip differential, and Porsche’s M030 sport suspension. Aesthetically, the cars received the C4S/Turbo front bumper with color-matched grilles, GT3 side skirts, and 40 Jahre tail badging. Carrera lightweight wheels that were shot blasted and polished completed the understated but distinct appearance. The cockpit was Natural Gray leather and Alcantara with GT silver-painted dash trim and center console, aluminum gauge surrounds, and a numbered anniversary plaque. Finally, each car was equipped with a matching four-piece fitted luggage set.
This 40 Jahre 911 is no. 1,082 of 1,963 built and has covered under 15,000 miles from new. In addition to its long list of Anniversary Edition equipment, it was specified with a Bose high-end sound system, remote CD changer, Natural Gray floor mats, and comfort seats with power package. Its remarkable original condition and impressive combination of performance and comfort make it an attractive consideration for the Porsche collector or driving aficionado.
