The current owner no longer knows whether the paint on the 911 has ever been repainted. The paint condition of the 964 is not perfect and shows some signs of wear such as scratches, stone chips and chipping. The fabric roof is apparently in fair condition, but has a small tear on the left side, as can be seen in an attached picture. However, there is apparently no corrosion on the body. The indicator glass on the passenger side, which is integrated in the front bumper, is slightly yellowed, otherwise the light units on the Porsche are undamaged. The continuous strip of lights at the rear also shows no breaks. There are no complaints about the convertible top, the fabric is not torn and the plastic rear window is not broken. According to the last owner, he drove the 946 convertible without an accident during its holding period.
18-inch aluminum rims in a curb scratch-free condition, together with Dunlop Sport Maxx tires that are in mint condition, decorate the exterior of the Porsche 964 Cabriolet. The brakes are also as good as new, no defects can be found on the chassis: According to the owner, this has been fine-tuned by a specialist.
Black leather characterizes the interior: full leather sports seats as you know them from the Turbo in a slightly patinated condition, a three-spoke sports steering wheel with no signs of use and a slightly worn gear lever can be found in the interior, among other things. No damage can be seen. Features include central locking, electric windows, heated seats, ABS, air conditioning, radio and an original tarpaulin on board the 964. The owner states that he does not know exactly whether the air conditioning is working properly. A sound system in the doors is also worth mentioning. The electro-hydraulic convertible top can be opened and closed again without any problems, and all switches and displays in the interior are working perfectly.
In the middle of the field of vision sit the five round instruments characteristic of a 911, the speedometer shows a reading of 132,509 kilometers. The total mileage of the Porsche 964 is approximately verifiable by an existing and partially kept checkbook. The original board folder with operating instructions is also available.
The 250 hp 3.6 liter boxer engine in combination with a 5-speed manual gearbox ensures proper propulsion. The 964 series received some engine improvements such as double ignition and a two-stage resonance intake system. Defects in the area of technology cannot be found, pending repairs cannot be carried out according to the current owner. A final service was carried out in May 2021.
The underbody of the Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet is completely healthy: apart from slight rust film, no acute rust problems are visible, and there are no welding work on the underside of the 911. The condition can apparently be classified as good.
