Exterior: The bodywork is in excellent condition, with slightly reworked lines that express the identity of the preparer while retaining a certain discretion. The „Schwarz metallic“ paintwork is in excellent condition, with no particular defects noted. Bronze highlights can be seen in sunlight. The car has recently had a ceramic treatment applied to enhance the shine of the bodywork. The forged aluminium wheels are particularly well suited to this car and are in excellent condition. The spoiler is in excellent condition and works very well. The headlights and windows are also in very good condition.
Interior: The cabin is in the same harmony as the exterior. The bucket seats from Porsche’s GT2 and GT3 cars of the same era add an extra touch of sportiness, and are also in excellent condition. As you can see, a roll bar has been fitted, creating an ambience closer to that of a racing car than the comfortable car it was originally. Here too, everything is in excellent condition, and all the on-board equipment is functional.
Mechanics: The Ruf preparation not only improved the looks of this 996 Turbo, but also significantly increased its performance. The Flat-6 engine has gone from 420 bhp to 550 bhp! The preparation of this engine is the reason for its performance, while the regular maintenance it has undergone is the reason for its excellent running characteristics. The 6-speed manual gearbox provides smooth gear changes and adds to the sportiness of this Ruf. Finally, roadholding is obviously dynamic, given the improvements that have been made to the running gear, including the installation of Ohlins suspension.
