2005 RUF 3800S – a Boxster S with the heart of a 997 Carrera S and a Cayman GT4 transmission.

This 2005 Boxster S was converted to RUF 3800S specification by RUF AutoCentre in Dallas. The conversion included installation of a 3.8L X51 Flat-6, a full RUF exhaust, RUF ECU programming, 19″ RUF wheels, and RUF badging. In 2021, the stock Boxster S transmission was replaced by a 6-speed unit out of a Cayman GT4 with a new clutch.

This RUF is a blast to drive and known by the Dallas locals that facilitated the build. The GT4 transmission makes it even sweeter to drive, has smooth shifts, and is geared better than the original Boxster S transmission.
