Pochette with Porsche book. INCLUDED Double keys.
The Porsche Boxster (code 986) was fundamental to PORSCHE, the 968 and 928 having deserted the catalogue after many years of service, leaving only the 911 (993) to make volume and thus cash. The release of the 986 Boxster proved to be strategic: it was a matter of winning back hearts, expanding the customer base, relaunching a car that had been in the doldrums. We often forget this, but in the mid-1990s Porsche was not yet what it is today!
In 1996, before the new 911 (996), Porsche’s new ‘Baby’ was unveiled, where everyone expected an air-cooled flat-6, lo and behold, the Boxster inaugurated water-cooling! Crime for the Porschisti! And yet… how well it works!
We end up with an effective and cheap vehicle! Between 1996 and 2004, some 100,000 cars were sold, numbers never before achieved for a Porsche! A huge success.
It is now to all intents and purposes recognised as a Porsche and, believe me, at times so much more fun than a 911! Finally, on the Boxster, the engine is in the right place!
A great Youngtimer for a weekend away thanks to 2 capacious luggage compartments, or simply for going bread shopping on Sunday mornings.
Our example is beautiful, healthy and super optioned! So optioned that it cost as much as a Porsche 911! Wonderful colours! The interior is particularly well maintained for its years! No noisy or broken plastic.
Left and right height adjustable seats, heated seats, Aluminium gear knob, handbrake lever and centre tunnel, automatic climate control, original Porsche Radio with CD player, Trip Computer, Navigation and Harman Kardon Audio System! complete the equipment.
With that, I’d say you know everything. I’ll be waiting in the garage for you to see and try it out!
