The last of the line GTS version of the second generation of the 997 series of 911 is now seen as a high point, combining the tight, small body of this series with normally aspirated engine and hydraulic steering giving that unique 911 feel whilst providing modern ancillaries and everyday usability. The unique specification of the GTS version results in a superb driving machine that like all great 911 models is so much more than the sum of the parts.
This is one of just 22 manual versions of the 4-wheel drive GTS chassis built for the UK market and it has covered just 9,500 miles in the hands of four owners from new. Finished in Platinum Silver with extended black leather and Alcantara interior it features a great specification with grey top tint screen, rear seats, dynamic cornering lights, ParkAssist, heated seats, cruise control, navigation module, stainless sill strips and carpet floor mats.
It was registered when new to Porsche Cars Great Britain on the 27th of July 2011 and then was sold to the first private owner on the 12th of May 2012 via Porsche Mid Sussex with only delivery mileage.
The second private owner, a Hairpin customer and discerning collector bought the GTS from Porsche Exeter in June 2014 at 5,500 miles. He had recently sold us his immaculate 993 RS and obviously could not bear to be without a 911.
We purchased the car from this last owner in April 2023 and sold it very quickly to a regular Hairpin customer who collects only the finest examples.
The car has been maintained by Porsche Mid Sussex along with the highly regarded Porsche specialists Paragon as shown in the original stamped service book and detailed in invoicing on file. Following purchase last year, we sent the car to local dealer Porsche Swindon for a full evaluation and major service since when it has remained unused whilst being stored correctly.
An effectively as new example of a rare and increasingly revered 911 model still available for sensible money.
