In 2001, Petersen Motorsports / White Lightning Racing purchased a new (Model Year 2001) Porsche GT3 RS and this car was no longer used by the team beyond its last ALMS race at Texas Motor Speedway, driven by Bob Wollek and Johnny Mowlem.
The team sold the car in 2003 to Lee Stack, who competed successfully in a handful of SCCA races, before then selling it to Richard Molke, who never raced it. The car was then acquired in 2011 by a collector from whom we purchased it from via Orbit Racing and imported it to the UK in 2018.
Subsequently, we have fully rebuilt the car in preparation for historic racing events. The engine and gearbox have been fully rebuilt and conform for historic racing in the Peter Auto -Endurance racing Legends series. Suspension and wheels have all been overhauled and crack-tested. New fuel cell fitted, plus new seat, harness and fire extinguisher system fitted. All invoices and certificates on file.
Maxted-Page ran the car in the 2021 Le Mans 24hr ERL support race and through the 2022 ERL season, culminating in a class GT2 B win at Paul Ricard this year. Post season, we have just completed another engine rebuild to Zero time and the car is now offered in fully race-ready condition and immaculately presented for the 2023 season ahead.
An immensely historic Porsche race car and perfect entry to race in Endurance Racing Legends, Le Mans Classic, Masters Endurance Legends and Rennsport Reunion – Laguna Seca in 2023 and beyond!
