This 1997 Turbo is a rare combination of performance, reliability, and tasteful upgrades. With only 54k miles, a clean title (Carfax available), and a recent engine and transmission refresh by 311RS, it’s ready to be enjoyed. As the third owner, I’ve carefully maintained and enhanced this car with OEM+ modifications that improve drivability and longevity while preserving its timeless design.

Das Fahrzeug im Detail

General:

  • Third owner. Previous owner had it since the early 2000s when these cars were more common. It was occasionally driven on track but has been used strictly on roads as its value increased.
  • Clean title (Carfax available).
  • 54k miles.
  • Engine and transmission refreshed in winter 2023/24.
  • Clear bra on the front half.
  • Muffler bypass with X-pipe exhaust.
  • 2WD conversion using OEM parts (AWD parts included with the car and can be easily reversed back to AWD within a few hours. But the car is much better as 2WD).
  • OEM Euro front bumper.
  • 18×8/10 Hollow spoke wheels.
  • Bluetooth OEM radio.
  • Short Shifter (Golden Rod).
  • 986 Steering wheel.
  • Rebuilt OEM turbos by Protomotive.
  • GT2 clutch and lightweight flywheel from Patrick Motorsports.
  • PSS9 coilovers with Tarett control arms. Unknown on age. My plan is/was to refresh the suspension this winter.
  • Front strut bar.
  • No A/C, but most parts are included in the garage. Was planning to do the electric AC that Singer users

Body:

  • Euro front bumper installed and painted (comes unpainted from Porsche).
  • Roof repainted after wrap removal caused a small chip (professionally done by a Porsche-certified body shop).
  • Rear decklid repainted due to misplacement of a superglued turbo badge.

Engine:

  • Last winter, 311RS performed an engine-out refresh, replacing all rubber components and addressing any issues. One turbo was found to be leaking, so both were rebuilt by Protomotive.
  • Spent $14k on parts. The car is now solid and worry-free.

Overall:

  • A reliable driver that has been thoroughly maintained and is ready to go. Despite some modifications, all are OEM+ and designed to enhance driving experience and longevity without altering the car’s appearance.
