1997 Porsche 911 993 Carrera S „Special Edition Vesuvio“

1 of 60 1997 Porsche 911 (993) Carrera S Vesuvio Grey Metallic Special Edition with a 6 speed manual transmission. and approximately 77k miles (125k kms). Originally a German (C00) car that was purchased from a collector in Germany and imported to the US. Impeccable condition, highly-optioned, accident-free and well documented.

With only 60 units produced worldwide (including tiptronic cars), the manual 993 C2S Vesuvio is the rarest 993 widebody street-legal variants.

This C2S was optioned with a full leather interior in the rare, special order color of Rubicon Grey, along with supple leather seats, M033 lowering springs, rear wiper delete, and many desirable „X“ factory options, including wide oval exhaust tips and the weighted aluminum Tequipment shift knob and handbrake.

The car has very few modifications. These include changing the wheels to OE Porsche 18″ hollow spoke Turbo Twists painted in Steel Grey (61W) to match the Vesuvio Special Edition accents (split grill, side mirrors, door handles, aluminum bezels around the dials, „Carrera S“ emblem, and shift knob). A Porsche strut bar from the factory M030 sport suspension was also added.

Lastly, in terms of recent maintenance, Bilstein PSS9s, a new clutch, and new lower valve cover gaskets were installed in 2015 & 2016, respectively. Brand new brake pads and Pirelli tires were installed in September 2022. A two-stage paint correction and the application of Cquartz Finest Reserve ceramic coating was completed by Cavallo Auto Salon in December 2022. And, finally, a brake flush, oil change and replacement of the headlight washer system was completed in January 2023, along with a Porsche Classic technical certification by the Classic Center at Porsche of North Houston.

A PPI was conducted on 01-13-2023, including a leakdown showing 4-6% on all cylinders and verifying the excellent mechanical condition of the car. Paint meter readings are available, along with the comprehensive PPI results.

Included with sale are extensive vehicle history documents, specifically German TUV inspection certificates dating back to 1997 (verifying the accuracy of the mileage and the car’s roadworthiness throughout its entire lifetime), as well as service documentation dating back to 2011.
