For decades, the Porsche 911 has been the go-to do-everything sports car. With its legendary reliability and 2+2 seating, paired with best-in-class performance, the 911 Carrera is just as at home being driven daily or enjoying your favorite backroads. The 992 generation 911 takes this to a new level, offering cutting-edge interior technology with twin-turbocharged performance, making this chassis the fastest 911 Carrera in the model’s history. Debuting in November of 2018, the 992 is the first generation of 911 to be exclusively offered as a wide body, which works exceptionally well with the overall design. Although the 992 is a thoroughly modern car, numerous design elements are intended to harken back to 911s of old. A classic-looking analog tachometer sits in the center of a digital gauge cluster, featuring text and a needle shape inspired by the earliest 3-dial 911 dashboards of the mid-1960s.
This 2023 911 Carrera was built in September of 2022 and landed in the hands of its only owner in November of that same year. Finished in Jet Black Metallic, this 911 Carrera shows just 4,543 miles at the time of cataloging and is essentially a new car and is sold with the remainder of its 4-year/50,000-mile factory warranty. The deep metallic black exterior is complimented by a set of RS Spyder Design wheels -20” Front and 21” Rear- which are finished in satin black, and the rear Porsche logo is also finished in black. These options give the car a particularly sinister look and help you appreciate the stunning shape of the 992.
Move inside this 992, and you are met with black leather, 14-way adjustable sport seats, and Chalk stitching accents throughout the cabin. In place of the standard black leather steering wheel, a “Race-Tex” wrapped wheel has been fitted- Race-Tex is Porsche’s version of Alcantara and feels wonderful in your hands while also providing better grip on the track. Sitting in front of the driver is a pair of large LCD screens- one in place of the traditional 5-gauge cluster and the other in the center of the dash to display navigation, stereo, and HVAC settings. But in the center of the dash screen is a large analog tachometer, which looks great and makes you feel connected with the car. That being said, in keeping with this 911s tech-filled cabin, features like Adaptive Cruise Control, a Bose Surround Sound System, and an electric slide/tilt glass sunroof have also been optioned.
Powering the 2023 911 Carrera is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-6, which is rated from the factory at 380 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. When paired with the Sport Chrono package that this car has been fitted with, the 911 is fitted with an “over-boost” function, which raises the boost pressure for 20 seconds and helps the car run from 0-62 mph in 4.0 seconds flat. What is great about this turbocharged powerplant is that power is easily available anywhere in the rev range, meaning that you don’t need to downshift 3 gears in the 8-speed PDK gearbox to make a quick pass in the city.
If you are looking for a one-car solution to handle daily driving, fun weekends, and the occasional track day, this 911 is about as good as it gets. Offering thrilling performance while not forcing you to give up any modern conveniences means that this 911 really can do everything.
