The big advantage of a 911 in classic costume is of course that the basic contours are all the better. In the 991 profile, the archetypal model is clearly recognizable. The round headlights, sloping roofline and flat rear are also typical of this Carrera S. Yet not everything stayed the same: 2 oval exhausts made way for 4 round ones in brushed stainless steel. And the wheels of this version have size 20 inches; they didn’t have that 57 years ago. The Anthracite Brown body colour is also new, but at the same time evokes nostalgic feelings because of the typical 70’s hue. Just like the silver rims, the chrome window frames contrast sublimely with the stylish dark paint. Less modest are the red brake calipers. But that’s also allowed, as it says something about the performance…
Interior & Equipment

The headliner is clad in black Alcantara. Indeed, they don’t do half the work in Zuffenhausen!

The stopwatch on the dashboard betrays the presence of this beloved package. For the rest you will notice it especially while driving …
Technique & performance
Everything comes into focus when Sport Chrono Plus is switched on: the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) gets harder damping, the brakes become more agile and the shifting times of the PDK transmission with dual clutch are shorter than ever. Sprinting is also optimised in Launch Control mode. But in order to finish that 0-100 km/h sprint within 4.3 seconds, 400 PS and 440 Newton metres are really needed. The atmospheric 3.8 litre 6-cylinder boxer engine is excellent, and that’s how it sounds! Nice and raw. At standstill as well as at top speed: 302 km/h. Do you immediately understand why those calipers come in red as standard …
