Despite the black suit, with this German gem it is almost impossible to speed through the traffic unobtrusively. Naturally, the SportDesign mirror caps, 20-inch polished multi-spoke wheels with red brake calipers behind them, 4 exhaust tailpipes and the body-colored front lip spoiler also play an important role in the optical beauty of the Porsche 991 Carrera 4S Cabriolet. And it is precisely the Carrera 4S that can be recognized by the wide lighting bar that connects both rear light units. In a word: beautiful!
Interior & equipment
You’re in the right place in a Porsche 911 right away. The black leather on the (heated!) Seats, the (SportDesign!) Steering wheel and the top of the dashboard exudes quality, but does not distract from the main purpose in the 991 cabin: driving. Aluminum accents plus ditto decorative strips on both the dashboard and the door panels provide a nice high-tech contrast. The beautifully designed SportDesign steering wheel contains a lot of aluminum, as well as a center marking. The Sport Chrono clock, meanwhile, sharpens every sense, while the Bose audio system blows a nice tune along. Until the key in the characteristic ignition lock cranks the starter motor… It only takes a few hundred meters to understand what that electric windshield is for, if you know what we mean.
Technology & performance
As soon as the 3.8 liter boxer engine in the back gets the go-ahead, an impressive rumble is heard from behind the seats. Four-wheel drive combined with a PDK transmission are the ingredients for maximum grip on fast sprints (0-100 km / h in 4.5 seconds) and in bends. The 991 Carrera 4S really goes on rails! During the whole way towards a top speed of 294 km / h, this tight Elfer is not crazy.
