Exterior
The GTS is of course already one of the tastiest versions from the 911 range: distinctive and sporty, without overdoing it. A 991.2 GTS (the facelift) can be recognized by, among other things, modified bumper (spoiler) s, a more centrally located dual exhaust and of course the GTS markings. Remove the roof, pour the remaining body parts in a bath full of Karminrot (Carmine Red) lacquer and you actually have something unique!
The matt black Turbo S wheels including Centerlock are particularly attractive. In terms of color and sportiness, they fit in beautifully with other details, such as the black diffuser, ditto exhaust end pieces and emblems. The optional GTS logo on the doors is also black in color. But the calipers are red again to complete the sublime contrast!
Interior & equipment
Inside the same shades make up the service, although the proportions here are exactly the other way around. Black leather / Alcantara upholstery sets the tone, interspersed with Karminrot stitching, belts and tachometer. The whole makes a harmonious impression. The carbon interior finish provides extra racy atmospheres on board the 911 Cabriolet. And here, too, the GTS markings must not be missing!
Taking a seat in all this beauty becomes even more attractive thanks to the seat heating and the Porsche Connect system with CarPlay. Handy for on the road are also power steering Plus, Cruise Control and automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors. Once home, the HomeLink garage door opener and Park Assist front + behind their work. And yet we recommend staying on the street as long as possible …
Technology & performance
Guess why once. The rear 6-cylinder boxer engine has a capacity of 3.0 liters, has 2 turbos and delivers 450 hp on the rear wheels; 30 more than the ’standard‘ Carrera S! The torque also rose by 50 Nm to a total of 550. In combination with PDK, the driver is able to shoot beyond 100 km / h from a standstill within 3.7 seconds. It is better to leave caps and other protection for your head at home, given the top speed of 310 (!) Km / h. After all, you are sure the roof will go off with this crazy ‚Elfer‘! Literally, because if the Cabriolet version adds one thing to the Porsche 991.2 GTS, then it is the pure speed experience of a real sports car.
