Speeding onto the silver screen from the autobahn in 1995’s hit film Bad Boys was a 964-generation Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6, finished in black over black. Starring alongside Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, the car stole the spotlight in one of the film’s final scenes, chasing a Shelby 427 Cobra across an airport, dodging gunfire and explosions, and helping Lawrence and Smith to save the day. Already an exceptional car in its own right, the car’s appearance in Bad Boys gave the 911 Turbo 3.6 an added boost in popularity, not only with car enthusiasts but anyone who has seen the film.
Matching that Bad Boys 911 Turbo in specification is the car offered here, delivered new to France in April 1993 via Sonato Levallois Porsche. Fitted with sport seats trimmed in black leather, it was also equipped with a 92-litre fuel tank and a windshield with a gradient green tint. Its original service book shows that the car’s first owner resided in Paris, followed by an owner in Aubigny-en-Artois, with the current owner listed as its third. Acquired by him in 2002, the car has been well-preserved in his ownership, accumulating less than 4,500 km in his custody over the last twenty years.
A handful of service invoices remain on file from the 911 Turbo’s current ownership, with all work carried out by official Porsche service centres. In its current ownership, the car has been driven less than 4,500 km, spending most of its time in static storage. Some cosmetic recommissioning work was carried out in 2018, which included replacing both stone guards on the rear fenders and trim around the rear quarter windows. This was followed by some electrical service and fitment of new brake discs and pads, amongst other work, all carried out in December 2020. Most recently, it was taken to Centre Porsche Lille for an inspection. This included an oil change, a new French Control Technique, and confirmation that it retains its original chassis, engine, and gearbox.
Following its recent inspection, this would be a fantastic 964-generation 911 Turbo to drive and enjoy, whether it be chasing down criminals on airport runways or enjoying the best roads that continental Europe has to offer.
