The 928 S4 offered here was completed by the Stuttgart factory on 4 May 1988, destined for delivery to its first owner in in Hamme, in the East Flanders province of Belgium. The car was finished in a paint-to-sample shade of Satin Black Metallic, which was borrowed from the sister model 944’s colour palette. The 928 S4 was equipped with a Blaupunkt Toronto SQR 46 radio-cassette deck, which it retains to this day, in addition to a factory-fitted alarm, electronic sunroof, and leather seats.
The first owner looks to have enjoyed the Porsche, as by 1994 its odometer reading exceeded 100,000 kilometres, according to the Porsche dealer stamps in the car’s accompanying service book. The car was retained by its original keeper until the second owner, a resident of Waterloo, Belgium, acquired the 928 in August 2003. In their care, the car was the recipient of servicing work that included a new water pump and overhaul of the braking system, prior to the third owner, a resident of Brussels, buying the Porsche in April 2004. It later joined The Curated Collection in 2015 and is now presented with 153,698 kilometres on its odometer. The car is offered for sale with its Porsche folio and service book. A rare paint-to-sample example of the model with a desirable manual gearbox, this 928 S4 is worthy of consideration by any Porsche enthusiast.
