The love disappeared when the gentleman bought another car in 1994. He (fortunately) put the 912 in his shed and was not touched until six months ago. In the photos you see Mr. Briner (gentleman with a stick) standing next to the car at his shed where the car has been all these years.
The car has been stored indoors for the last 30 years. This results in a car where the original red leather interior cannot be called factory new, but it does come suspiciously close.
The bodywork is still completely in its first paint! This patina on the original ivory white paint must be preserved in any case. The bottom and wheel arches are completely rust-free!
The engine has been serviced and the fuel system has been cleaned including a new fuel tank. The engine runs well. However, it does not drive, because the brakes have not yet been overhauled. The technology still needs attention. For convenience, new tires have already been fitted all around. The car is therefore not yet roadworthy and should be seen as a (small) project.
