Constructed in February 1986, this 911 Turbo ‘Flat Nose’ Coupé was one of 204 examples built between 1983 to 1987. Finished in Garnet Red Metallic paint, over a red and cream leather interior, the inside of the Porsche is complemented by details such as walnut trim, an extended hub steering wheel, and a sunroof.
This 911 was dispatched to Gulf Automobiles & Trading Co. of Doha, Qatar, where little is known of its early history. In January 1993, the car was imported to the United Kingdom and then acquired by the third owner in March 1994. They obtained a production certificate from Porsche Great Britain (available to view on file).
Sold to the consigning owner in February 1995, the car was then recorded as having covered around 39,000 kilometres. Invoices and previous MoT certificates show that by 2005, it had covered around 62,000 kilometres. Remaining static for 20 years, it was recommissioned and benefits from an engine rebuild at a cost of £44,000 courtesy of Tech 9 Motorsport Ltd in July 2024. At the time of cataloguing, the odometer read 63,497 kilometres. The car retains its matching-numbers engine and is presented in its factory-correct colour combination.
Please note that upon inspection this vehicle appears to have been subject to previous accident repair work. As one of just 204 second generation ‘Flat Nose’ 911s built, this Turbo Coupé is a well specified example of Porsche’s 1980s Sonderwunsch programme.
