The Porsche 930 3.0 Turbo, introduced in 1975, was Porsche’s first production turbocharged 911. Powered by a 3.0L flat-six producing 260 hp, it featured a four-speed manual transmission and a distinctive wide-body design with a large rear whale tail for increased downforce. A total of 2,819 units were produced between 1975 and 1977. Due to its rear-engine layout, turbo lag, and sudden power delivery, the 930 earned the infamous nickname „Widowmaker“, as inexperienced drivers often struggled to handle its unpredictable dynamics at high speeds.
