HooG Selections has once again added a very special Porsche to its collection. This is a 911/930 3.0 Turbo originally delivered in Germany from June 1976. At the end of the sixties, Porsche started experimenting with turbo technology in its racing cars and from 1972 the brand started developing a 911 with a turbo engine. The initial reason the 911 Turbo went into production had everything to do with FIA regulations stipulating that cars in the Group 4 and 5 category had to be production cars that were available to private buyers through the relevant dealer network. The first series of the 911 Turbo, equipped with a 3.0 engine, turned out to be so popular that on May 5, 1976 the thousandth example was already built and a total of 2,819 copies of this first series were manufactured between 1975 and 1978.
