- Weber 40 IDA carburetors
- Numerous updates and receipts dating back 43 years
1973.5 911T – 2.7L (built on numbers-matching case) with Weber carburetors and 915 gearbox. Delivered from factory with S trim, S bumper, sunroof, and air conditioning. With multiple long-term owners, this ’73 911 comes with extensive receipts and records dating back to 1980, showing frequent maintenance and several upgrades for drivability.
The original engine case was previously rebuilt with larger-bore pistons and cylinders (increasing displacement to 2.7L) while the CIS fuel injection system was removed and converted to Weber 40 IDA carbs. A Dansk sport muffler was recently installed and the oiling system is equipped with upgraded chain tensioners, a front fender cooler, and finned oil lines as well. 15×6 and 15×7 Fuchs wheels have been beautifully refinished in RSR-style and are mounted with Avon tires. 911S brakes have been installed as well as 930 tie rods. The interior features Recaro-style sport seats and a Momo Prototipo steering wheel (original wheel included as well). The Guards Red exterior, originally Bahia Red, shows well but has rock chips and imperfections from driving over the years and consistent with use. In addition to the S-trim and bumpers, French-style rally lights are mounted in the front horn grills, and a new aluminum rear engine grill was mounted in 2022 along with replacement turn signal lenses and gaskets all around. This longhood 911 is a wonderful car to drive: the 2.7L engine pulls strong, 915 gearbox shifts well, and even the AC blows cool. A complete high-resolution image gallery is available upon request.
