2016 Porsche 911 R
The Porsche 911 R is a rare and special machine, with only 991 units produced worldwide. This limited edition pays tribute to pure driving pleasure, bringing Porsche back to the essence of sporty driving. Under the hood lies a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine from the GT3 RS, delivering 500 hp and 460 Nm of torque. Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, the 911 R sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 323 km/h. The design is understated yet purposeful. Unlike the GT3 RS, it lacks a large rear wing, giving it a more classic and timeless silhouette. Lightweight materials such as a magnesium roof, a lighter flywheel, and reduced sound insulation keep weight to a minimum, making the 911 R feel sharp and responsive on the road. As a nod to the legendary 911 R from 1967, a distinctive double stripe runs along the bodywork, further emphasising its purist character.
