The car has been built by PENTACAR according to the FIA Group 4 specifications which meant that in many ways it was still a street Porsche.
PENTACAR is a well know trade mark for tuning 911 Porsche for Historic rally and also for track days.
We produced a 3.0 SC for rally racing that you can use by road every day.
This car is a copy of the 2011 European Rally Championship Winner , produced in the same factory.
The body has left intact except for fiberglass flares which were pop riveted to the existing fenders.
A large front spoiler , that also hid the engine’s oil and A/C radiators ,replaced the stock front bumper.
We also fitted new front light and a new car front glass.
Also the rear lightshave been restaured with new plastic covers.
All the rubber gaskets have been fitted new.
Inside the cockpit much of the production car interior was left intact. The power window lifts, the door-mounted map compartments and other items were left in place so the car could meet minimum weight requirements.
We fitted a new A/C plant and we can increase the quantity of fresh air in the cockpit.
The engine was tested , rebuilt and race tuned; the transmission disassembled, gear ratios checked, then assembled with new bearings, shifting sleeve, main shaft nuts, pinion nut, flywheel, pressure plate and flywheel, pressure plate and gasket set;
Installed correct front wheel fans;
Completed a full chassis race setup with BILSTEIN schock absorbers and suspension check;
Installed a transmission cooler; Fabricate wicker bills in 2 sizes, 3-8″ and increasing rear down force;
. Applied clearguard to front spoiler, -, rear lower rocker extension;
Adjusted brake pedal position lower to allow for heel and toe driving;
Replaced brake pads with latest EBC compound material;
Completed a full chassis race setup with BILSTEIN schock absorbers and suspension check;
The 911 retains the production suspension pick up points with new Bilstein shocks absorbers front and rear.
Adjustable anti-rol bars are fitted along with BBS alloy wheels (8×15 front and 10×15 rear).
The new ZIMMERMAN ventilated brakes with cross drilled rotors and new pistons calipers.
The transmission is the standard street 915 five speed but with a modified and reduced gear shift excursion .
The engine differs little from the standard production 911 3.0 SC , except for new MAHLE racing pistons , rebuilding heads and valves. Control shaft mounting bushing and new timing chain. Bosch K –Jetronic adjustment. New inox sport exaust mufflers by DANSK .
We obtained 245 HP instead of 205 HP .
Based around Porsche’s production 911, the car weighed in at 1120kg.
Some parts inevitably stayed though and these often included stock door trim and even electric windows.
More importantly, 911’s were equipped with fully-adjustable suspension and anti-roll bars plus cross-drilled and ventilated discs with finned calipers.
Front 8×15-inch and rear 10×15 BBS alloys were fitted along with a 90 liters fuel cell under the front lid.
