This 911E Targa was delivered new to Kentucky in 1973, where it between two owners spent its first 48 years before being imported to Sweden. The third owner: a renowned Porsche collector, wanted to create the ultimate 911 Targa. As a founding member of Urban’s Garage, a restoration company specialized in complete restorations of Porsche 356 and early 911s. He began a no-expense-spared restoration, the result is this 911E Targa in the magnificent specification of a beautiful Sepia brown (415) perfectly paired with a brown leather (262) interior.
At the heart of the 911E Targa was the same 2.4-liter flat-six engine found in its coupe counterpart. However this specific engine has been updated to S specification and now delivers 190 horsepower, but still retains its matching numbers.

When it comes to classic sports cars that effortlessly blend performance, style, and open-air exhilaration, the 1973 Porsche 911E Targa stands as an enduring symbol of automotive excellence. Made in only 858 examples, this unique variant of the iconic 911 series captures the hearts of enthusiasts with its innovative design and unparalleled driving experience.
What sets the Targa apart from other 911s is its ingenious roof design. Named after the famous Targa Florio road race in Sicily, this model featured a removable roof panel and a distinctive brushed stainless steel roll hoop, which adds an extra layer of structural rigidity to the car. This design allowed drivers to enjoy the thrill of open-air motoring without compromising safety or performance. The removable top can be easily stowed in the front trunk, transforming the car from a weatherproof coupe to an exhilarating open-top sports car in a matter of minutes.
