Since the advent of the 911 model in 1963, roadsters have disappeared from the Porsche range.
However, the brand produced a unique example of the 911 roadster in 1983 based on a 911 SC. But the project remains unfinished.
At the end of the 1980s, euphoric from an economic point of view, exclusive models were popular.
Porsche enjoyed years of prosperity during the second half of the decade. He also decides to take advantage of this exclusivity market. For this, the customization possibilities of the 911 range are being developed with, in particular, the Flachbau option for the Turbo version. The manufacturer then decided to offer a roadster variant of the 911.
Thus a prototype of the Porsche 911 series G Speedster was unveiled at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show. This model went into production for the year 1989. It was a nice farewell gift from the second generation of the 911.
Designed to commemorate the magnificent 356 Speedster, the 911 3.2 speedster takes up its codes, such as the lowered and more rounded windshield window, a lower and very rounded hood giving it a more stocky appearance when closed and a fiber hood cover giving it a more aggressive look when opened.
The production of Speedsters was relatively limited: 2102 in Turbo look and 171 in narrow body.
The model presented is a 1989 Turbo look, it is in near new condition with a mileage of only 25,000 km.
Guards Red) livery is of the most beautiful effect and of a magnificent depth.
This 911 Speedster is perfectly equipped with its Turbo seats as well as a recent classic Porsche radio with bluetooth and GPS.
Mechanically, what can I say? It is new, the 231 hp of the 3.2L flat 6 are present at all times, the G50 gearbox is perfect, it is a Porsche in all its glory.
This is a rare opportunity to own a new 1989 Porsche 911 3.2 Speedster.
