The vehicle originally comes from the USA and was first registered in Louisville Kentucky in 1985. The convertible was then driven in Richardson Texas until it finally found its home base in sunny San Francisco California. Here under the California sun it was moved for many years. According to picture research by the current owner, all previous owners had homes with large garages. You can see that this is a „garage car“ so the sun has not really affected the car and especially the plastic parts.
In 2013, the well-maintained convertible was imported to Germany with a tachometer reading of 52031 miles. The Porsche was sold near Munich and then after about 2 years was purchased by an engineer near Rosenheim, where it continued to be lovingly cared for and maintained. Also from 2013, all receipts are available.
Thus, the mileage tachometer was subsequently changed by a specialist company against a km speedometer and this is documented on the invoice and an existing photo of the old speedometer. In consequence a new windshield with installed antenna was installed and by a Munich specialist company all cavities and the underbody with a special wax meticulously preserved!
After the demise of the South German owner, the top maintained convertible was sold to a collector in Münsterland West Germany. He also did not save money and invested a lot in the vehicle. Among other things, a discreetly installed under-seat subwoofer from Pioneer was installed, which can be removed with only 3 cables. The classic Becker DTM navigation and CD radio has a great sound in conjunction with the sub. Furthermore, a discreet indirect ambient lighting with remote control was installed. Here, too, attention was paid to removable assembly.
As a lover of the original Porsche tartan fabrics, the collector had the seat pans of the original sports seats (with large side bolsters) professionally covered with the perfectly color-coordinated tartan fabric. At the same time, the old seat heaters were removed and replaced with new carbon seat heaters on both sides. The function is like in a new car.
Also the unfortunately somewhat damaged cardboard door panels were completely renewed and also covered with the Karo fabric professionally! Both the leathering of the door panels and the seat shells have been removed without destruction and are present. A dismantling would be possible also here. The Momo steering wheel has been replaced with an original 4 spoke steering wheel. When parking, the small Momo steering wheel requires quite a bit of effort.
The old catalytic converter was replaced by a new stainless cat pipe.
Lastly in 2020, 4 new Bilstein shocks (B6) were installed as well as a tie rod set from the Turbo 930 and 4 way Stahflex brake lines.
That such a well-maintained vehicle with a mileage of less than 100,000km offers real driving pleasure is probably self-explanatory. The dry engine revs cleanly and moves the beautiful convertible forward with particular power.
This G model 911 has no investment backlog, which unfortunately many vehicles on the market conceal. Open the roof, get in and have fun! This offers the honest and very well maintained 911 from the first kilometer!
The collector separates from the vehicle because of lack of space to reduce the collection.
