This rare 1974 Carrera MFI has been fully restored cosmetically and mechanically to concours perfection by nationally recognized professionals and is turn-key ready for its next owner. It underwent a bare metal restoration and was repainted in its original color of Grand Prix White by East Autobody in Orange, California. Porsche specialist Autobahn Interiors reupholstered the interior in a rare shade of Midnight Blue leatherette. The highest quality OEM parts were used in the restoration.

Renowned engine builder Aase Motors in Fullerton, California, rebuilt the original engine (Type 911/83) to the factory specification of 2.7 RS in February of 2021 at the cost of $32,000. At the same time, Aase Motors rebuilt the transmission with new gears, synchros, and bearings at a cost of $9,625.

Black Forest Automotive in San Diego, California, performed a corner balance, aligned the front and rear, adjusted wheel bearings, caster, camber, and toe settings, and centered the steering wheel in July 2021. On December 04, 2023, Vision Motorsports performed an oil service and valve adjustment and replaced the valve cover gaskets. Johnson’s Alignment in Torrance, California, set the ride height, did a four-corner balance and alignment, and installed Pirelli P6000 195 70 R15 front and 215 80 R15 rear tires.

Originally finished in a Grand Prix White exterior with a Midnight leatherette interior. The paintwork is in stunning condition with side Carrera script delete, and the Fuch alloy wheels have been restored with anodized spokes and lips and black backing. The interior is also in exceptional condition, with a black dash, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seats, headliner, radio delete, and all the VDO instrumentation was restored. The Fuch alloy wheels have been upgraded to 7″ x 15″ and 8″ x 15″ and are mounted to Pirelli P6000 195 70 R15 front and 215 80 R15 rear tires, which were installed in late 2023.

In 2023, European Collectibles sold this 911 MFI to the past owner, who did his first drive to the Palms to Pines event in California with the Porsche 356 Club in November 2023 and traveled over 350 miles. Over the past year and a half, he has driven the MFI another 2,000 miles with pure enjoyment! It is well-sorted and ready to drive with more power than you can imagine.

Mechanically powered by the matching engine No. 6640154 (Type 911/83) 2.7-liter, 2687 cc, six-cylinder, Bosch Mechanical Fuel Injection (MFI), 8.5:1 Compression Ratio, its high-output, Euro-spec with 210 horsepower @ 6300 rpm and 188.4 foot-pounds torque @ 5,100 rpm. The transmission is a manual 5-speed Type 915/43 with a four-wheel disc braking system. Total unloaded weight is 2370 pounds (1075 kg), 0-100Km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.3 seconds with a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph).

The 1974 Carrera MFI has the same weight and engine that powered the 1973 911 RS Carrera. This is a rare opportunity for any collector to acquire a Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI in beautiful condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. Complete with a Certificate of Authenticity, owner’s manual, restoration records documenting the restoration work, tool kit, jack, space saver spare, and tire inflator.
