Chassis 300650 is a significantly early car, originally manufactured at Porsche AG, Stuttgart on 12 March 1965, leaving the factory in attractive Light Ivory paint (code 6404) – the same colour it retains today – bound for a life in the United States of America. The car was sold by Porsche Teaneck, New Jersey as evidenced by the factory Kardex and Certificate of Production.
The car was built up to the highest possible 2.0L Cup racing specification in 2020 for a friend of Sports Purpose by multiple Goodwood winners and 2019 2LC Champion / 2022 2LC Gent Champion team, Jordan Racing, conforming fully to the series regulations.
The engine and gearbox were built by renowned specialists, Maxted-Page using a correct set of type 901/05 crank cases while the original numbers matching set remain with the car as spares.
JRT cars 911s have consistently featured at the front of 2.0L Cup grids since the championship’s inception in 2018 with the sister car to this one, for example, setting the fastest ever lap for a 2-litre 911 around Spa in 2022, a whisker under 3 minutes overall.
Chassis 300650 is eligible for all pre-1966 GT grids, the 2.0L Cup, Tour Auto, Le Mans Classic, the Goodwood Members’ Meeting and Revival Meeting races (when they happen), the Spa Six Hours and the new Motor Racing Legends 3 Hour races in the UK, as well as many other events and rallies.

our thoughts
Brand new and never raced, this is the ultimate specification 2 Litre Cup race car built by multiple Champions Jordan Racing Team. A truly exceptional build of a ’no questions‘ race car that any buyer can be confident is ready to race at the front.
Sports Purpose’ James Turner was the founder of the 2 Litre Cup and is well known for his strong views on car values and the need (or not) for perfect build cars. Each competitor needs to decide what their realistic goals are and buy the car that best fits those. Many choose to buy the best car that they can and one can understand why.
What is special about this car is just how good it is. It is hard to imagine a better car build, or a car with a greater likelihood of racing success. We look forward to seeing it being tested properly in the heat of battle as soon as possible.
