This 2023 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS is an essentially brand new example, showing just 452 miles at the time of cataloging. Delivered new to Porsche of Plano in Plano, TX, this GT4 RS is in as-delivered condition, with protective covers still on the seats, and dealership paperwork still taped to the inside of the windshield. Fitted with a remarkable $74,285 in factory options, this is a truly one of one specification, and the perfect example for a real Porsche Collector. Finished in Paint-to-Sample Linden Green, this car is accented throughout with exposed gloss carbon fiber – largely thanks to the optional Weissach Package, including on the bonnett, wing, mirror caps and air intakes. Additionally, the stunning looking 20” forged magnesium wheels are fitted, and finished in a stunning shadow-chrome finish with the RS logos in the center caps paint matched with the bodywork. Other options include Carbon Ceramic Brakes, a front axle lift and the light deesign package.
Swing open the door and you are met by a pair of hard back carbon bucket seats, which are upholstered in a combination of black leather with gray Race-Tex centers. The seat stitching and seat belts are color matched in Arctic Gray, and the door panel trim is finished to match the seats. Although this is the most track focused version of the Cayman, that doesn’t mean the interior needs to be decontented. Items like a leather fuse box panel and leather steering column surround were optioned, and all of the dials have been fitted with white faces. As previously mentioned, the interior is in essentially un-used condition, with protective covers still on the seats and the carbon fiber trimmed floor mats still in their plastic package.
Powering the GT4 RS is a 4.0-liter Flat-6 that is largely the same unit found in the GT3. Producing 490 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque, this is a 79 horsepower bump over the standard GT4 and an increase of 15 lb-ft of torque. When paired with a 7-speed PDK gearbox – the only available gearbox for the GT4 RS- the RS shaves half a second off the 0-60 mph time, doing the sprint in just 3.2 seconds, and featuring a top speed of nearly 200 mph. Perhaps even more importantly than the straight line speed is the GT4 RS generates 25% more downforce than the standard GT4 – largely down to its “swan neck” rear wing. This helps the GT4 RS shave an astonishing 23 seconds off the standard GT4’s Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time.
Built in limited numbers, the GT4 RS remains one of the most sought after cars to come out of Stuttgart in the past decade. This example is the perfect addition to any collection, and would make a great car to drive and enjoy, or, park up and save in the wrapper as an essentially brand new car.
