Porsche 356 A 1600

The past owner acquired this 356A to build an Outlaw and began sourcing parts from Stoddard, NLA Limited, and GT Werks. In 2011, the transmission was completely rebuilt by Mackay Racing Enterprises, utilizing new gaskets, seals, and bushings. All of the gauges were refurbished in 2015 by Palo Alto Speedometer.

Mechanically, it is powered by a performance-enhanced flat-four engine (Type 616/1) and has been upgraded to Super-90 specifications. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with a four-wheel drum braking system. MacKay Racing Enterprises completely rebuilt the engine in June 2022. The motor was rebuilt, incorporating a Super 90 camshaft, Super 90 piston set, 356 SC connecting rods, a deep oil sump, a clutch, and a pressure plate were also installed. Leakdown and compression test were conducted in 2022. Leak down: 1) 5%, 2) 2%, 3) 4%, 4) 7% and Compression results: 1) 150, 2) 150, 3) 150, 4) 150.
