For the 997-generation 911, Porsche reserved its pinnacle engineering efforts for the GT3 RS 4.0, the crowning achievement after years of testing on roads and racetracks. At its heart is the most potent naturally aspirated flat-six Porsche had ever produced at its release, generating 500 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 339 foot-pounds of torque. This power comes from a suite of enhancements, including a new intake manifold, high-flow air filters in carbon-fiber housings, less restrictive catalytic converters, Variocam-Plus variable valve timing, and a two-stage variable induction system. Despite the standard GT3 RS already being lightweight, Porsche shaved off an additional 10 kilograms by incorporating carbon-fiber front fenders and trunk lid, titanium connecting rods, and lighter interior trim, resulting in an exhilarating driving experience.
Regarded by many enthusiasts as the ultimate version of the most extreme, road-going Porsche 911, the GT3 RS 4.0 was destined to be a future classic. Porsche produced only 600 of these cars, delivered to dedicated Porsche enthusiasts who eagerly snapped up this extraordinary high-performance machine.
As the final and most refined version of the 997 generation 911, the GT3 RS 4.0 embodies the character and groundbreaking performance that define the model. With fewer than 3,000 km on the odometer, this rare collectible is in pristine condition and presents exceptionally well, ticking all the boxes for desirability.
It is sure to be a standout piece in any prestigious Porsche collection.
