Porsche 964 Turbo – Eleven Cars

The proposed car was delivered new in Japan where it remained until 2015 before arriving in France. It has had two owners in France.

The bodywork is in very good condition and the alignments are excellent. A paint job has been done a few years ago. This Turbo was not damaged in any accident. It has its original service book and a duplicate in French as well as a large file of invoices. The black full leather interior is in perfect condition. The leathers are not marked or damaged. It is equipped with the sunroof and a Porsche Classic radio has been installed.

Mechanically, it works perfectly. The gearbox does not stick, the rpm rises are frank.

It is equipped with Speedline 3.6 Turbo wheels and a stainless steel exhaust system. Shock absorbers are blue Bilstein.

All in the same car! The Porsche 911 Turbo is the Bad Boy’s car par excellence. Brutal, wild, it defies the laws by an insolent mechanical potential. This GT with a strong character nevertheless arouses an overflowing fascination among all Porsche enthusiasts.

The third generation Porsche 911 Turbo, 964 Turbo, was presented at the 1990 Geneva Motor Show. In its initial version, the new model retained the mechanical basis of its ancestor, the 930 3.3L, but Porsche quickly increased its displacement and power to the demented 385 hp Turbo S Leichtbau. Even today, it remains a model of anthology, the last born of the mono-turbo family whose lineage began in 1975 with the 930 3.0 L Turbo, to which the adjective „brutal“ was attributed. A characteristic that has been perpetuated over time, to the delight of lovers of the Turbo effect.

The 964 Turbo retains the 3.3-litre engine from its predecessor, the 930, as its mechanical base, but adopts several technical modifications that increase maximum power to 320 hp at 5,750 rpm and reduce (a little too much for some) the Turbo’s on/off temperament, understand „the original“. On this new engine (M30/69), the maximum torque is now 450 Nm at 4,500 rpm and is delivered over a less restricted range thanks to the use of a new KKK turbo blowing at 0.7 bar, a new air/air exchanger and a new KE Jetronic injection system. The dual-mass flywheel reduces vibrations and soundproofing is considerably increased.

The 964 Turbo will be produced in 3660 units between 1990 and 1992 before being replaced by the 964 Turbo 3.6, unofficially known as the 965 Turbo, which will be equipped with a completely new engine.
