Even though the performance stats of the 918 Spyder are now well-known, they remain nothing short of astonishing. Its mid-mounted 4.6-liter dry sump V8, paired with two electric motors—one for each axle—delivers a combined output of 887 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 944 lb-ft of torque in seventh gear. Power is sent through a lightning-fast seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. The optional $84,000 Weissach Package trimmed 90 pounds off the weight by incorporating magnesium wheels, titanium bolts, lighter brakes, and carbon fiber aerodynamic upgrades, bringing the total weight down to 3,616 pounds. As a result, the sprint to 60 mph dropped to just 2.5 seconds, with 100 mph arriving in only 4.9 seconds. Porsche, naturally, took the 918 Spyder to the Nürburgring Nordschleife, where it promptly set a blistering lap record of 6 minutes and 57 seconds. Less widely known are the thousands of hours invested in testing the two dozen prototypes and development cars around the globe. Each 918 required roughly 120 hours to assemble—compared to just two days for a standard 911 of the era.
Fittingly, just 918 Spyders were produced between September 2013 and June 2015. Each was individually numbered; the stunning example offered here was allocated limitation number 441 in this sequence. Finished in the classic Porsche racing color of White with the highly-desirable Martini Racing graphics package, the interior is tailored in Black leather with Acid Green piping. In addition to the racing-inspired Martini livery it is also specified with the desirable $84,000 high performance Weissach Package which included weight-saving and aerodynamics modifications such as lightweight magnesium wheels, an extended rear diffuser and drag reducing rear winglets. In keeping with the track-focused nature of the Weissach Package, the windscreen frame, roof panel, wing mirrors and rear wing of number 441 are all finished in gloss carbon fiber, a weight-saving measure which—in conjunction with the variant’s lighter wheels—contributed to the loss of some 41 kilograms relative to the standard-specification car. Additional options specified on the Porsche-supplied build sheet include Electric Comfort Heating, Seat Belts with Accent Stripes in Acid Green and Carbon Fiber Floor Mats with Acid Green Piping.
Remarkably, number 441 has covered a mere 1,895 miles from new. The clean CARFAX reveals that under original ownership, between 2015 and 2018, the 918 was regularly serviced at Porsche of South Shore. Its second owner acquired the car with just 263 miles and continued its maintenance at South Shore and then later Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale until 2022. In those years the car accumulated approximately 25 miles. It appears that the third owner of 441 lightly stretched its legs. Its subsequent owner serviced the car at official Porsche dealers and then at the highly regarded Repasi Motorwerks in Stratford, Connecticut. While at Repasi, it appears the car received a major service with the CARFAX recording the fitment of new N-Spec Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. Under its most recent private owner, this Martini 918 has continued to receive a fastidious regimen of maintenance, most recently in March 2025 at supercar specialists Graham Rahal Performance. It is accompanied by its original Porsche factory car cover, its owner’s manual, and Porsche-supplied build sheet.
Over time, it has become clear that among the three most technically advanced hypercars released in 2013, Porsche arguably delivered the most accomplished and versatile of the ultra-exclusive trio. It, like the 959 and Carrera GT before it, is a technical tour de force, yet the 918 Spyder is equally as capable of 30 mph all-electric urban travel as it was of 200-mph Hot Lap track performance. Finished in Martini colors, equipped with the ultra-desirable Weissach Package, and offered with less than 1,900 miles at cataloging, 918 Spyder 441 represents a pure opportunity to acquire a supremely collectible example of the record-breaking hypercar. For these reasons—and many more—no serious Porsche or modern supercar collection should be without one.
