Starting with an ultra-low mileage 1989 Carrera Coupe (5,000 miles – White w/Black interior), all parts sourced were new from Porsche except for ducktail that was sourced from MA Shaw. Parts utilized in conversion included fenders, hood, bumpers, lights and “Carrera” sidescript. The interior utilized 1994 Speedster Recaro seats and RS America style door panels. The two front seats were reupholstered in Black leather with vintage houndstooth inserts, the rear seats were deleted, and a lightweight carpet set has been fitted. A Momo Steering wheel has also been installed.
Mechanically the engine displacement was enlarged to 3.4 liters using forged pistons, carillo rods, billet race cams, ported/polished heads, TWM throttle bodies, Motec M48 ECU engine management, Denso crank fire ignition, SSI headers & sport muffler. The suspension was upgraded with Bilstien RSR adjustable coilovers, Eibach springs, adjustable sway bars, limited slip differential and larger 944 Turbo Front brake calipers.
