– Straight Body and frame, rust free and undercarriage done to period spec in shuts coating.
– Body in Gulf blue with orange decal accents. Paint and body are perfect. Paint is the period correct single stage Porsche (#328) Glasurit paint.
– Original correct torsion bar suspension, new red Koni dampers, modern red front toe hook and tabs, new blower cover, wiring harness, insulation, new battery & kill switch.
– The interior is fully new featuring correct era sport seats with new foam and new black leather, perforated correct period headliner in black, carpet in period correct slate sliver knit to accent the interior properly. Momo Mod 7 suede steering wheel, RS door cards with yellow pull, JBL speakers and new Continental CD stereo with Bluetooth. New lower dash pad and ashtray. Aluminum perforated pedals, new shift boot, and fire extinguisher. Lizard skin insulation and sound deadening. All Upholstery and interior done by one single Master Craftsman artisan who does full interiors for Pebble Beach Concours level cars.
– All insulation, seals, rubber trim fully replaced and new. Rear quarter pop out windows, black trim rings, European headlights, mirrors, and window & door trim powder coated in satin black, rear lights are original, ducktail with custom prop strut for easy open/close. Porsche reflector between the rear lights instead of the metal piece with Porsche decal (for a factory look). – 2.7L Mechanical Fuel Injected (MFI) Engine fully rebuilt and refreshed. RS cams, correct and modern parts, electronic distributor, fully restored MFI pump in progress. New fuel pump and new engine internal parts during the rebuild. – 915 Gearbox 5 speed with new bushings and all shift parts new, clutch refreshed and linkage all new. Gearbox gone through and refreshed all parts (entire driveline) cleaned and reassembled. – Elephant Racing full oil cooler kit and front mounted oil cooler with correct copper lines from rear to front and back to provide the correct setup for the race cars of the era – Fuel tank filler custom front truck fill location, power brakes and booster, modern strut tower brace, strut and shock mounts, and engine mounts. – Correct 15” RSR wheels with correct Michelin TB tires. Long wheel studs and factory lug nuts. – PMB restored and refinished brake calipers with new pads and rotors. M type front, S type rears. – Correct vintage period OEM Porsche hood crest. – Never tracked or raced. – Needs nothing. Builder’s Note: Originally a barn-find properly restored to very high standard, keeping period correct fully with the 1974 early vintage (IROC RSR). Where we were able to keep it original, we did and that was a very high percentage of the car, if something needed replaced, it was and with original factory parts or new reproduction pieces. Very methodical and meticulously done, with extreme care and craftsmanship, no expense spared for this beautiful and desirable example. Every last detail has been painstakingly addressed and done correctly. CAR IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY INSIDE AND OUT.
