The 911 Club Sport is a nod to the well known succes of the ‘72/’73 911 Carrera 2.7RS and is built with the same vision; a car where you can drive home with after the race. This Porsche was built on the same platform as the 911 Carrera 3.2 and was equipped with the belove G50 gearbox and hydraulic clutch, which were known as reliable. The Club Sport is 50kg leighter than its base model and has been assigned with the ‘M637’-code. Besides that, this Porsche is equipped with a revised gearbox, shortened -lever and a limited slip-differential. This in combination with the sport suspension results in a very enjoyable driving behavior. What never has been confirmed by Porsche, but has been noticed by many experts, is that the 911 Club Sport isn’t only lighter but also more powerful than its base model. In terms of earodynamica, Porsche always has been a few steps ahead and that’s noticable when you drive the 911 CS.
Offered here is a ’89 911 Club Sport first delivered in Germany, where it has been driven like it used to. After circa 100.000km’s this car found in the late ’90s a new owner is the UK, who also beheld the car as a real drivers car. In 1999 RUF replaced the speedometer with 141.947km’s on it. 4000 Miles or 6473km’s (!) later that year this Porsche was sold to a Belgian owner, who either neither saw a ‘garage queen’ in this Porsche. After all these years and kilometers, thi Porsche still finds itselfs in excellent condition with matching numbers. Porsche once again proved the solidity of their products here. This example is finished in the matching Grand Prix white with Guard red details, which is a visual reference to the legendary white-red configuration of the ‘72/’73 911 Carrera 2.7 RS. On top of that, this Porsche is equipped with the optional and lighter interior. Ready to hit the track!
