Just the twelfth Sport Classic built, this particular example was designated for Switzerland and was delivered new through Porsche Lausanne on February 12, 2010 to its first and only owner. Its accompanying original service book shows a lifetime of diligent servicing, all carried out by Porsche Lausanne, with its last documented service carried out in January of 2017 at 24,375 km. Its odometer shows just under 25,600 km from new and the car presents beautifully throughout.
Like all Sport Classics, this example is finished in the unique shade of Sport classic Grey paintwork with a pair of subtle grey stripes. Inside, the interior is trimmed with Espresso brown leather with woven leather and fabric seat and door inserts. At its heart its Porsche’s tried-and-true 3.8-litre flat six-cylinder engine fittd with the ‘Power Kit’, which brings output to 408 bhp, some 23 bhp over the standard 997-generation Carrera S. Despite boasting the wider rear hips of the Carrera 4S, the Sport Classic is rear wheel drive and power is managed through a traditional six-speed gearbox. Numerous desirable options were fitted as standard, including Porsche’s Porsche’s Ceramic Composit Brakes, the PASM sport suspension, and Adaptive Sport Seats.
Arguably the most characterful model of the 997 generation of 911, the Sport Classic was an instant collectible from the moment it was launched and remains highly desirable to this day. Presented in excellent condition and serviced at regular intervals, this would make a wonderful driver’s example, a truly special automobile yet one subtle enough to be used on a daily basis.
