History: Delivered new to the USA in July 1958, this car spent its life overseas before returning to France in 2021.
It was in France, and more specifically in the Drôme, in our workshops, that the car underwent almost 2000 hours of restoration.
Expert report, Carvertical and Histovec report favourable, Kardex in our possession. The car is registered in France with a collector’s licence. The history contains invoices for the work carried out, available on request. All the identification numbers and cold stamping correspond to the original ones, engine, chassis, gearbox and doors which makes this a car fully equipped with its original components, a rare occurrence.
Condition:
Does the term ‘Nuts & Bolts’ mean anything to you? This expression refers to a restoration in which not a single screw or bolt has been spared. This 356 meets this level of restoration. The body was stripped bare and completely stripped before being reassembled. Nothing was left to chance.
Exterior: The bodywork is perfectly sound and shows no signs of deformation. The car has been repainted in its original colour: Ivory ( #5704). The paintwork is flawless, as are the wheels, bumpers and all exterior chrome.
The soft top is new.
Interior: Inside, the brown leather upholstery is new. There are no defects to highlight.
Powertrain: The engine has been completely rebuilt in-house, as has the rest of the car. With a view to keeping the car in its original configuration, the car has remained in 6V.
Underbody: There are no traces of rust on the underpinnings (anti-corrosion and anti-gravel treatment applied), wheel arches or bodywork.
