According to the previous owner, the first owner, Renzo Beltramelli, special-ordered the 2.7 MFI in Viper Green Metallic, featuring black leatherette with Shetland inlays, an electric sunroof, a Blaupunkt Bamberg radio, a rear wiper, tinted windows, and fog lights. Mr. Beltramelli’s enterprise held the exclusive waste collection contract for the Aosta region in Northern Italy. Subsequently, the MFI is reported to have transitioned through three additional Italian custodians in the Piedmont region. In 2014, the 911 MFI was acquired from an elderly gentleman in Turin, Italy, and it was found to be an excellent candidate for restoration. In a collection of approximately 40 Porsches, the 911 MFI underwent a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration, during which time it was reverted to its original specifications. Intended to serve as the quintessential weekend driving vehicle, the collector, regrettably, passed away before the restoration was completed.
In 2019, Mike Fletcher Engineering was commissioned to perform a comprehensive rebuild of the engine and transmission. The engine was disassembled and resealed with new gaskets. Bearing clearances and ring gaps were meticulously measured, and all the surfaces were inspected and refaced. The engine components, including bearings, rings, chains, and guides, were in excellent condition. The valve seats were reworked, and the heights of the valve springs were checked and adjusted. All the sheet metal components were powder-coated, and the fan and fuel pump belts were replaced. The airbox and manifolds were resealed with new gaskets. Adjustments were made to the MFI pump, the timing was set, and the cold start and hot mixtures were fine-tuned. The transmission was completely disassembled, and all new synchro’s were installed along with new locking sliders. New shaft lock nuts were installed, the fork adjustment was recalibrated, and new high-tensile bolts were installed. On August 19, 2024, at 4,898 km, BS Motorsport serviced the electric sunroof, the fuel tank sending unit, the speedometer cable, and the engine mounts were all replaced, and new Pirelli CN36 tires were installed.
