The 991-generation GT2 RS launched in 2017 as the most powerful model in the history of the Porsche 911. Housing a 3.8-litre flat-six fed by two turbochargers, 700 horsepower was sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK gearbox. The result was a 2.8 second dash from 0 to 100 km/h while a 340 km/h top speed was claimed. Given those credentials, test driver Lars Kern set the production car lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
This example was purchased new by the consigning owner in March 2018 via Carrera Motors of Sint-Martens-Latem in Belgium. The specification was headlined by the stunning “Paint To Sample” shade of Brewster Green and the selection of the “Weissach” package—a carbon fibre roof, anti-rolls bars, coupling rods, plus magnesium centre-lock wheels saved 30 kilograms. Black leather and Alcantara line the interior, which notably features Platinum Grey stitching and the Weissach track layout embossed in the headrests of the 918 hypercar-style bucket seats fitted with Schroth six-point harnesses.
Accompanied by a leather pouch containing owner’s guides and serviced by Kronos Porsche of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium in May 2023 (invoices on file), this 911 GT2 RS displayed just 1,297 kilometres at the time of cataloguing and retains its matching-numbers engine. Low mileage and spectacularly optioned, it is surely one of the finest examples of the 991 GT2 RS to ever come to market.
