The car presented is a very rare Porsche 930 Turbo 3.0 built in only 857 units, from 75 to 77 of which only one, custom-ordered in the parent company with this color with silver exteriors and black and burgundy red interiors.

The Porsche Turbo 3.0 of the 70s was born as a response to the new requirements to be met to allow cars to participate in group 4 and 5 of rallies.

The new car presented by the Stuttgart car company was available in a Turbo and naturally aspirated version, passing from the no longer developable 2.7 six-cylinder boxer to a 3.0.

Porsche was experimenting turbochargers since the 60s and the idea of putting a turbo in a production car was already budgeted. Therefore the 930 was the first supercharged production car Porsche.

The air-cooled engine guarantees excellent performance, 260hp @5500 rpm and being a 3.0 six-cylinder also a considerable torque of 330 Nm @4400 rpm.

This first 3.0 version, even if it’s less acclaimed than its sister 3.3, is rarer since in the two years of production from ’75-’77 only 857 examples were built.

The 930 left the scene in ’89 being replaced by the 964 with about 18,800 units built.

In conclusion, the 930 series can be defined as one of the most successful Porsche cars, with harmonious lines capable of fascinating more today than at the time when it was produced, which marked the beginning of the turbo era in the Stuttgart company and through out Europe.
