Highlights

  • Fully matching numbers, preserved.
  • One of 683 Karmann short-wheel-base produced
  • Highly performing, with unrivaled palmares

An exemplar with unique characteristics amongst the rarest and most desirable early 911s model: 1967 (MY’68) short-wheel-base (SWB).

Fully matching numbers, preserved.

Most probably the SWB 911 exemplar with the largest media-coverage in classic cars‘ and sport magazines, so as in Porsche house organs (2023 and 2024), also due to unrivaled palmares in its gentleman drivers events’s recent history (media coverage included in the sale).

Top level reliability, always maniacally mantained and preserved,

Very beutiful color combination.

Unbeliavably exciting driving experience from any perspective (handling, braking, power, traction, ergonomy, comfort).

Proud to currently wear its sporty attire, with its original parts kept aside and included in the sale.

Fully certified (FIVA, ASI golden plate).

Das Fahrzeug im Detail

This fully marching numbers 2.0 SWB 911 was purchased by the current owner in 2012 in order to participate, as gentleman driver, to international FIA historic events (where top level classifications were then collected) and since then has always been constantly mantained in top conditions in every technical and ergonomic detail, with no concern about expense.

Main milestones:

  • 2012/13 – post-purchase preservative refurbishing of body and upholstery  [DGM restauri, Bottini, Safety Car Porsche Specialist]
  • 2013 – some sport settings (trim, supplementary beams, internal fittings, etc,) all without any modification to orginal configuration [Safety Car]
  • 2014 – ‚S specs‘ upgrade (cylinder capacity unchanged) involving both engine and clutch [Safety Car]
  • 2019 – partial body preservative repairs and painting [Edison]
  • 2020 – engine overhaul (piston rings, valve guides, prisoners) and gearshift (new gears and clearance settings) [Porsche Haus]
  • 2023 – transmission-traction upgrades (Torsen limited slip differential [Quaife], lower ratio 6:29 bevel gear [Prina], rear stabilization bar, brake calipers overhaul) [Pentacar] and new brake discs too.

The car is fully matching number:

  • chassis n° 11825531
  • engine n° 2081586

The car comes with:

  • Original parts: seats, steering wheel, air filter box, bevel gear, differential
  • Full set of historic certification papers (FIVA, ACI-Sport Regularity Fiche, Targa oro ASI – CRS)
  • Two Porsche certificates, dated 1997, about engine number and about body color and original equipments
  • Four sets of rims
    • originally supplied Fuchs 14″ (optional) in its original perfect state
    • 15″ Fuchs just repainted in white

    • 15″ (non-original, non-in-period) ATS painted in white

The car is in excellent technical shape and, with its fascinating original parts ‘patina’ due to age (non-restored exemplar), in a wonderfully appealing visual look.
