Built to full Carrera Cup M700 specification, including stripped-out interior, racing wiring harness, and with minor trim such as the glove box removed for racing. Included with the vehicle is a copy of its race history, Certificate of Authenticity, service records and photographs of the full rebuild that the car underwent during 2007.
The VIN and shell numbers match, along with the doors and engine lid. The flat-six engine is also the factory-supplied motor. The vehicle is highly original, with only the aluminium bonnet fitted during the vendor’s ownership, and the transmission having been replaced during the vehicle’s competition years. Stored between 1995 and 2007; the original race seals remain in place. The preceding Cup car to number 49, which now resides in the Porsche museum.
The repainted Grand Prix White paintwork is in superb condition, as are the MaxCom graphics which are crisp and bright. The stripped-out interior is functional, and remains in very good condition, with only minor wear and small holes in the driver’s Recaro seat due to the harness. There are no known faults or issues with the vehicle, and no warning lights present on the dashboard.
The most recent service was carried out by Precision Porsche Specialist and entailed the standard 48,000 mile service including the valve adjustment and spark plugs. Prior to this, the car was serviced by OPC Glasgow in May 2021 at 3,101km, receiving a standard 12,000 mile service, along with fresh spark plugs, a new fuel filter and a valve timing adjustment. In May 2016, P for Porsche serviced the car and included the fitment of a new oil cooler. The car also had a new drive shaft fitted by Stainless Creations in September 2010. During 2007, the car was fully rebuilt including the engine, with new timing chains fitted during this process. A full set of new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres has also been fitted.
